Hi There!
My name is MalaraVAN, most people just call me VAN. I am a motion designer, photographer, and filmmaker with roots in UI/UX design and over 15 years of experience telling stories through moving images. I work internationally, taking on projects wherever great creative work needs to happen.
I work freelance, and depending on the scale of a project, I bring together a wide network of talented creatives, editors, cinematographers, designers, to form exactly the team a project needs. No more, no less.
Beyond traditional production, I stay at the forefront of AI-driven creativity. I work fluently with platforms like Midjourney, RunwayML, Sora, Adobe Firefly, and ElevenLabs, weaving AI into my process to open up new visual possibilities and deliver work that feels genuinely ahead of the curve.
My work spans commercial brands and raw, on-location storytelling. On the creator side, I have worked on productions like 7 vs. Wild, Mission Unknown, and Surviving Amazonas, projects that live and die by their visual energy. On the brand side, I have collaborated with Converse, Porsche, Deutsche Telekom, Sennheiser, Lindt, Sport1, Asus, and agencies including DDB Tribal, BBDO, and Jung von Matt, among others.
Along the way, my work has been recognized with the German Design Award, Red Dot Communication Award, iF Design Award, German Digital Award, and the International Photographer of the Year award.
